reading (Asimov's April/May 2006)

After a long period of not much reading, I tore through the very thick Asimov's double issue in good old form. It had 8 short stories, 2 novelettes, and 2 novellas. My favorites were Constance Cooper's "The King's Tail" and Kristine Kathryn Rusch's "Except the Music". Honorable mention goes to Steve Bein's "Datacide" for a critical point which one of the main characters should have seen coming. William Shunn's "Inclination" had an interesting enough world, but I felt the plot was a bit too Mary Sue.

All in all, a good mix of this and that.
