the weekend
Aug. 28th, 2006 06:31 amThis weekend managed to slip by like a greased eel. I thought I would get all kinds of things done. Well, I did get some things done, or started, but I thought I'd get more done.
I reverse engineered three of the files in the format of the ebook reader. They were the easy files, but it's progress. Only about 27 more to go. I scrubbed the stainless frypans until they looked like new, stuff had been building up on the sides that resisted normal scrubbing. I got 3/4 of the way through scanning one of the old journals from
derien's family, then the scanner decided it needed a rest. I spent hours looking at scanners and OS/OCR software compatibility online. I bought some interesting looking books. I read the Book of Tea. While scanning I bent some chainmaille rings because sitting watching the scanner is boring.
The weather is cooler here now so I'm getting back into the habit of tea. The days are notably shorter, it's almost dark when I get up for work. 'Tis the time when pure determination is required to rise in the morning.
