The last couple of nights I've been working on my home mp3 player. It's a project I pick up and put down every now and then. I'll usually only add features to it, or fix things that are broken when I have some specific task in mind.
What got me started on this round of changes was
cyberquail's request for a collection of random mp3's on a CD. I did write that bit after I fixed a few flaws that had been bugging me, fixed a wanky bit of the display, and added about five other small features.
Now I've got three more things in mind that I've had in mind for a while. No matter how many things I fix or add, it will never be finished. At some point during the last six years, widely available technology has become available to do most of what I built the player to do, but it's fun for me to tinker with and it's nice to be able to customize however I want.
