I couldn't make this up

One entry found for tenet
a principle, belief, or doctrine generally held to be true; especially : one held in common by members of an organization, movement, or profession
In view of recent political developments I think they should append the following:
syn: scapegoat
I can hear the conversation now, "The president would like evidence to justify an invasion. Find it. The president will be very upset if there is any evidence to the contrary, understand?" It's what's called plausible deniability. The deniability is pretty implausible considering that the British parliament knew the evidence was faked before the invasion and it took our administration an additional 4 months to figure that out.
