retired technology

I found a box of cassette tapes in the closet while cleaning up. I haven't used cassettes on a regular basis since sometime in the '80's. At that time I replaced all my prerecorded cassettes with CD's as they came out. The only ones I kept were unique: particular mixes, sets from my radio show and other people's shows. I don't want to just throw them away, but I don't want them hanging around in a box either. So I'm feeding them into the computer via a very old boombox (the only cassette player in the house) and through a few steps turning them into mp3s. I figure the whole lot of them will fit on 4 cd's and then I'll have my cherished memories and more space in the closet.
