I'm glad to hear more favorable weather is prevailing in parts of California.
I'm currently reading Howard Zinn's "People's History of the United States". Unlike most historians, he admits he's biased. Even so, I think in some points he hurts his own case by painting with too broad a brush. It's kind of like going to supper at the Salvation Army. The soup isn't bad, but it's a drag to have to put up with the sermon. It's not as bad as the "rah rah we are great" history books at the other extreme, but I must admit I expected more based on the reverence with which some people mention the book.
There are lots of other things going on right now, but I find myself unable to/uninterested in writing lately.
