I went to bed, but I didn't fall asleep. Now I'm up again. :P Perhaps some meaningless babbling and some distilled potatoes will facilitate unconsciousness.

This morning we got the couch halfway moved. It is now sitting in the van at the new place we just have to get it up three floors tomorrow. In the good news department, the last full box of books is in the new abode. The last bookcase is in pieces (it's a barrister bookcase so that's not fatal). Part of it has arrived at it's destination, part has not left the departure area.

Appointment for cable modem is scheduled for Saturday AM.

The landlord fixed the things that we had on our must be fixed list and even did a few of the things we really didn't care about. We need to get a new lock for the back door of the apartment because they don't have the key for it. They don't care if we change it as long as they have a key to the front. I want a key to the back because that's where the parking lot is.

I find out about my benefits at work on Day 4. Very good news. Hopefully the gods of vacation, sick time, and good insurance will be smiling. I'm getting a bit tired of the pain in my back teeth but with the current non-coverage I haven't been willing to see the extortionist. I had the tooth fixed two years ago for a princely sum. I have a feeling this time I'll be looking at a kingly sum.

While not packing, moving, cleaning, working, or sleeping I've been playing with the ray trace modeling program. It's a good thing to do at 4am when there isn't much else you can do. I've now got a bunch of little macros written that model different weaves. I haven't been doing any actual weaving because I want to save my hands/wrists/arms for work and moving.
