When I walked into work today the frogs were peeping from the darkness surrounding the building. When I walked out this morning the birds were singing into the morning fog. I really like that.

The server seems stable enough that I feel confident in rebuilding it clean. I'm tempted to try to do it today so that it will be done. My guess is it will only take a couple of hours once I get things copied over. It would be nice to get that done and have my mp3 player back.

The street parking near this apartment is much easier than the old place. Last night was a one-side-only night and I was still able to get a space on the correct side of the street when I came home. So far I've been able to do that every time. At the old place it was hard enough to find a space when both sides were free game.

Two pigeons have the habit of landing on our window box planter. I really don't want them getting the idea that it's a good place to sit because I'd actually like to grow plants in it. Having them pick out all the seeds or shitsit on the plants would not help in my efforts to grow herbs for the kitchen. I've taken to frightening them away. I want to show them to Paula but I haven't managed to time that right yet. If I ever do, she'll probably take up residence at the window waiting for them. She loves to watch birds, 'ack' at them, and pretend she can catch them.
