Jul. 13th, 2004 07:44 pm"Buying bread from a man in Brussels,
he was six foot four and full of muscles." - Men at Work "Down Under"
Funny how a lyric can take you back. I was just transported to working as a busyboy. Lack of sleep. The heat of Florida. The harmless, hopeless flirting of the waitresses. Writing impassioned letters longhand to a middle distance runner. Eating Haagen Dazs with the redhead in the parking lot. I used to love the lighting storms down there. You could look out over the ocean and watch the lighting dance from cloud to cloud.
In the less whimsical department. I have once again returned to the land of the normal schedule. I get to see sunlight during the day and sleep at night again! It is such a treat, there really aren't words for it. My energy levels have increased notably. I'm still having a bit trouble with the sleep schedule. I become incredibly, well undeniably, sleepy at around 8pm then wake up completely at 4am.
