the week of our discontent

Earlier in the week it was the struggle with the DNS. Then the van didn't pass inspection on Wed. On Friday, just when email started flowing again, I got an email from my mom saying my elder sister is going in for a biopsy because of a fast growing tumor. This is the sister who already had cervical cancer, not the sister who already had breast cancer.

Yesterday I started to diagnose the problems in the van and discovered there was not a simple solution. The amount of time and money it will take to get right are undetermined at the moment, but the best I can hope for is a shot CV joint. If it's not the CV joint then the transmission is going fast.

A long drink from the Lethe would be a lovely temptation at the moment.
