At work I've been busy cleaning up mysteries and unfinished projects. It's starting to get slow. If things don't pick up a bit soon there will be early outs because there really aren't many projects left. I don't mind an early out now and then it's a nice break as long as it doesn't become a habit. When it becomes a habit it tends to adversely effect income.

The DVDs I ordered from Amazon the other day were waiting for me when I got home today. DVDs: Quadrophenia, A Midsummer Night's Dream, X Files: Fight the Future, Like Water for Chocolate, Young Sherlock Holmes, Pretty In Pink, Dragonslayer. Yay for cheap movies and free shipping!

Also waiting for me was a notice that the printer I ordered was sitting at DHL awaiting signature. I drove over there and picked it up. It is much smaller than the big old HP4 and takes considerably less power. It actually fits on the desk beside my monitor!

Now I'm trying to get "War and Peace" formatted for the ebook before [livejournal.com profile] derien gets home. That plan might be a bit optimistic.

hey...

Have any of you well read people actually read "War and Peace"? Bloody long thing it is!

Oh, you know what real love is? Mrs. Tolstoy typed the book. Not once. Not twice. Eight times.

I can imagine Tolstoy's last words: "Just a few minor changes."
