yay! a lazy day
Jan. 21st, 2007 11:19 amToday I'm looking forward to a lazy day. I'm travelling through space with Olaf Stapledon and puttering on the 'puter.
At work I've been moved into a more responsible and slightly more stressful position. Why do people think that I want to do more complicated things just because I can do them quite well. On the upside this new job means I get to play around with database queries and data crunching. On the downside I have to deal with humans coming at me from every direction with all their petty little wants and needs and I have to be nice to them. It's much more fun when I get to be a ogre.
This week I wrote a silly little program to track prices of stuff on amazon. It saves all the price changes of a list of items and displays the list sorted by most recent price change.
I've also been playing around with mplayer for screen caps. Oh, the joys of wasting time.
