it's been years but...
Apr. 27th, 2007 09:05 pmEvery now and then a recruiter calls me with some potential position. Usually they're network administration or server babysitting positions. The last one was a data analysis gig, which if I'd paused for a minute might have been tempting. For the most part I'm not tempted at all.
When I was in high school a friend of mine had a greyhound who'd been retired from racing. He was the single most lazy dog I've ever met. When I sat on her couch he would climb up and lay across the whole couch including the part I was sitting on. He made sloths look like aerobics instructors. I didn't understand why then. Wish I didn't now.
The recruiters are confused by me. They're just asking permission to submit my resume, no effort from me at all. No thanks, man.
