In an attempt to stay one step ahead of [livejournal.com profile] derien's nefarious plot for reading supremacy I finished "The Miserable Mill" this morning. I am not sure it will do any good. It seems every time I finish one of the series of unfortunate events books, there is [livejournal.com profile] derien right behind me, lurking in the shadows.

If you were expecting any kind of meaningful interaction with me over the course of the next week, cancel those plans. I expect the past week's work schedule will feel like a vacation by this time next week. Snow shovel: check. Presque Isle jacket: check. Lobster gloves: check. Boots to shovel in: check. Sneakers and dry socks for working in: check. Must pack at least enough food for a twelve hour work day. Caffeine, need to pack caffeine.

Last night was a silly and very fun waste of time. I shed a lot of the tension and aches that had built up during the week. Tonight I have to make sure I stretch and drink plenty of water so I can start the whole process over again.

In other news, I've sacrificed light for warmth and put up the big thick curtains in the bedroom. The bedroom is now darker than your average dungeon, but what can you do. The curtains are very pretty in that dark red kinda gothy way.

My Christmas list is coming along pretty well. I still have to find the box of cards that's hiding around here somewhere.
