reading (Asimov's Jan '09)
Jan. 19th, 2009 05:22 pmI finished the January issue of Asimov's last night. This month had a pretty good collection with a lot of things that go bump in the night. "Bridesicle" took some leaps that seem natural and almost unavoidable. It was fascinating, dark, and light. "Uncle Bones" was sweet and decaying, but I was sort of wishing it would have ended sweet in a Charles Adams way. "Messia Excelsa" was a bit to esoteric for me. Overall though a solid issue.
