under decks
Feb. 14th, 2012 07:15 pmOn Sunday I made a push to get the wiring for the deck lights done. It was cold, and I had to come in to warm up repeatedly, but after about 3 hours outside I got the feed wire run. Yes, temps were in the low teens and the breeze was bracing. Then tonight we went outside and I hooked the lights to the feed wire and tested all the wiring. All the lights work just as expected. Now I just have to get an electrician in to put in an outlet for me. After that I can mount the transformer and finish making the permanent connection.
In other news, the reservations have been made, so we will be going on vacations this year! I am quite happy with our choices, although I will miss the fiddle festival in Nova Scotia again this year. Nothing to be done there, it was an unavoidable conflict. But there is some fine music lining up and camping too.
I'm trying to maintain a positive attitude despite delays in getting the van back and work being all worklike. I really want to curl up and hide. Oh, and this is my fourth day without caffeine. Have I mentioned I want to curl up and hide? It's good to take a break, but I dearly miss my black tea.
