I finished the September edition of Asimov's today. My favorite in this issue was Suzanne Palmer's "Adware", it induces x-files grade paranoia laced with laughter. Dale Bailey's "Mating Habits of the Late Cretaceous" felt like an homage to Hemingway's "The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber" and left a similar feeling sticky heat, lethargy, and restless discontent. Matthew Johnson's "the Last Islander" wove real and imagined well. I liked how both of Losi's ways of making money work together.
