Marian McPartland, jazz pianist and downright classy lady has passed away at 95. I always enjoyed listening to her interview musicians. She could bring out the best in anybody. I've heard her interview legends and young artists just starting out and she treated each with respect and awe. She applied just enough self-deprication to make everyone around here seem better.

I think she might have loved musicians as much as she loved music.
