This months's Asimov's had some really interesting bits. My favorite by far was Timons Esaias' "GO. NOW. FIX." That sucker started like a rocket sled on rails. Not a spare word and so many lovely little details. Another high point in the issue was the oh so dark and all too real, "You'll Live" by B. S. Donovan. It was an issue of twists with "The Kaleidoscope City" and "The Refraction of White Lies".

I liked to the setting and the characters of "Not This Tide", but I've read stories with the central plot bit too many times already. Sheila Finch can write though, so it might be worth looking for other stuff.

"The Palace of Dancing Dogs" was the next installment in Allen M. Steele's story arc that started out as noir and drifted. At this point I'm thinking of contacting The Hague. I read every story in the issues of Asimov's without fail. [personal profile] derien thinks I'm stupid sometimes for doing so. I'm beginning to agree.
