Finished splitting the wood from tree up in the forest and got that all stacked. Started cutting the twigs in the barn for bundling, that will probably be an ongoing job for the next month. Cut one of the piles of small limbs on the sawbuck. One more pile of those to finish up. Derien hauled wood and repaired where the steps into the barn had washed out (recurring problem which we try to make a little better every year). Once the small limbs are cut and stacked we should be up to about four cords of wood cut for next winter. The twigs we're bundling won't be used for two years because we have so much already set aside.
I cleaned the bird nest out of the top of the propane tank and checked the level. I'm debating calling for a fill. I think we might be able to go another year since the it is only used to heat the barn and we only do that on weekends during the shoulder seasons. We don't go out there on really cold days because no matter how much you heat the air, the floor is plywood with a nice breezy frozen space under it, so it's not fun to stand out there for any amount of time.
