reading (Panty Hose, Hot Peppers)

I finished "Panty Hose" yesterday, after a long interlude. This was the book I was reading before getting interrupted by all those other books. It is a book of short bits that appeared in Yankee Magazine, those paragraph long hints at reusing things and making stuff for lawn and garden. There are some good ideas here, but a lot of chaff. The same hint might be repeated in four different ways, sometimes twice within a few pages. A lot of the hints are dated, refering to packaging that is no longer prevalent or items that are no longer that common. In short, when they threw this book together in 2005, they didn't put a lot of effort into it, they just did a cut and pasted from their archives. Do yourself a favor and find something else to read.
