Do you feel safer?
I wrote this a while ago while at work, but this is the first chance I've had to get caught up on computer related things, so here it is:
So another toxin has struck the US Senate through mail more highly scrutinized than your average post. After what, two years the law enforcement resources of the US still have no real actionable evidence in the last such incidence.
Is the world safer for democracy? Is the world safer for Americans? Is America safer for Americans?
I remember the dot coms where venture capitalists put on a show of success: fancy chairs, big offices, press releases, glossy brochures. But there was little or no substance to back it up. It was all flash, PR, and spin hoping they could keep it going long enough and find a sucker to buy the package.
Print the flag on glossy paper. Give press releases and color codes. Round up civilians around the world and throw them in jail without charge or access to lawyers. The American public has given up rights for security, but are we getting our share of the bargain. Do you feel safer?
