eorLast night I was nearly late for work. Now this is significant only in that I'm anal about not being late to work. In six months since landing this job I haven't missed a day or been late even once (even when the battery was dead in the car and the van didn't want to start).
I was just finishing up the last of my prepairatory tasks for the evening saying to myself, "I've got 45 minutes, maybe I'll get to read a little before I go."
The phone rang.
I hate it when the phone rings.
It was my uncle, who is the proud owner of a windows PC with a half uninstalled, completely non-functional Norton anti virus. I knew this before I picked up the phone because this is phone call three. The prior call was dealing with the GUI side of life, to no avail. This call was 50+ minutes of "type this, what do you see, delete this" deleting registry keys. Don't play in the registry kids, it's safer to play in the road.
Then out the door I rushed to speed to work and make it with one minute to spare.
Of course, I ended up getting sent home early because of lack of work. :P
Oh, apparently some of my meddling in the registry worked. He can send email now and get to secure sites again.
