eight days a week
Nov. 25th, 2005 07:55 pmThe cold made a good showing of itself during the early part of this week. I was miserable at work on Monday; I couldn't stop sneezing and my nose wouldn't stop running. When I called in sick on Tuesday no one was surprised. I slept late Tuesday and moved very slowly once I did get up. I did manage to get a couple of little things done, but it was basically a lost day.
Wed. I felt better so I went to work then to my doctor's appointment after work. The appointment was just a check-in and review thing. I told the doc about my side effects, results, and my plan to up my dose. She was happy with the results and concurred with the increased dose.
On Thanksgiving Teena came over and we hung out together for the entire day. After talking for a while in the house we headed out through the cold rain and slush to an Indian restaurant. We had a delicious leisurely meal. The walk back was quick because it had turned quite chilly and we were still somewhat wet from the walk down. When we got back we had hot drinks, talked, watched a movie, and talked more until
Today was a busy but good day at work. The group I had working with me pushed hard and we managed to get our work out by the end of the day (just barely).
The weather was seasonably cold today. I need to dig out my Presque Isle coat so I won't be quite so chilly riding to work in the van in the morning. I've been able to survive with the light coat much longer than I expected.
Tomorrow I have to work a full day, but I'll be starting an hour early so I'll get home while there is still some daylight. I'm not sure what I'll do after work, but I'll probably do something. Sunday will probably be reserved for collapsing.
Overall: Life is pretty good.
