I just finished Christopher Moore's "Island of the Sequined Love Nun" which
derien gave me for Christmas. Disbelief in this novel, like all Christopher Moore books, is suspended on high stilts of absurdity. The sharks of reality are kept at bay by reefs of plot contortions both cynical and sweet. I'm not sure I liked it as much as his "Lust Lizard", but it's definitely a fun read filled with plenty of Moore's zaniness. I will end up reading all of his books. They're just too fun to pass up.
I guess at some point I'm going to have to go back to reading that philosophy book.
