I am home today because the facility I work at was closed for the day. The stated reason was weather. The real reason was that things are slow right now and it's an effective way of cutting expenses. I don't mind, I like the time off as long as it doesn't become a habit.

We didn't get anything here other than some rain early this morning. Now the wind has really kicked in. The gusts are strong enough that the building is shaking. I wouldn't be surprised if the people in the taller buildings downtown aren't looking for motion sickness bags about now. I'm glad they trimmed the tree out front because if they hadn't it probably be horizontal by now.

Today I'm working on making an ebook of the complete songs and poems of Burns. This will take more than a day. Bloody lot of stuff the guy put out!
