The other day at work I was getting ready to unload a trailer so I put my headphones on. I wanted something upbeat to motivate me and set the rhythm. As I clicked to through the selection I found one, exclaimed "I haven't listened to this in a while", and selected L7.

One of the guys I was working with said, "What is it?"

"L7"

"What's that?"

"Hardcore.... four girls..."

"Angry chicks? You listen to angry chick music?!"

"Saw them in concert, two days before I saw Babes in Toyland. I don't think my hearing will ever recover."

We went about unloading the truck, me keeping the pace with the socio-political guitars of two L7 albums. It didn't take long 'til we were off to another task.

A few days later the same guy and I were getting reading to unload another truck. I was once again getting in the truck to toss the boxes. As he took his position at the other end of the conveyor he said, "Okay, Matt, no angry chick music today. These boxes are heavy and I'm not going to go that fast."
