reading (Thief of Time)

eorI didn't quite finish "Thief of Time" last night, I gave in to a restless sleep around midnight.
This book featured generous doses of Susan Sto Helit. I like generous doses of Susan. I also got to see more of The Sweeper who I last encountered with Vimes. It's a book of pretty pictures really. The settings and the plots remind me of those Japanese brush painting made on rice paper, disjointed pieces fitting together to make balance and form. I think Pratchett intentionally toned down his usual pace and chaos for most of the book to give that kind of impression. Not that this book isn't filled with puns, wordplay, and silliness, it is Pratchett afterall.
I believe there is only one Pterry book left on the shelves that I haven't read. There are probably eight that I haven't read, but we don't have all of them.
