derien got home she squeed over them at least as much as I did, so my guilt was assuaged.
The list:
Ray Bradbury, "The Illustrated Man", hardcover (I have it in dusty yellowed softback from... when I first read it).
Dallas Lore Sharp, "A Watcher in the Woods" (kid book about nature circa 1906)
Andrew Jackson Downing, "Victorian Cottage Residences" (reprint of 1873 book)
Herbert Schiffer, "Shaker Architecture"
Leon Battista Alberti, "On the Art of Building in Ten Books" (reprint, originally written mid 15th century)
Lionel March "Architectonics of Humanism" c. 1998
The last of these looks to be a book that must be studied. It combines the study of mathematics and ancient architecture.tronella, you might find it an interesting diversion. It even has the description of a math board game that at first glance makes chess look like tic tac toe.
