derien and I were observing that despite all our efforts to the contrary, our garbage is consistently getting stinky before it gets full.
derien said that was proof that our recycling efforts are paying off. That's probably pretty accurate. We now take multiple bags to recycling every week. The unfortunate side effect is the organics that do end up in the garbage have plenty of time to get going on decomposition.
In the continuing effort to reduce our electric consumption we picked up more compact florescent bulbs today. We're trying to find ones we like for all the rooms. The full spectrum one did not go over well as a reading light, but it isn't too bad if toned down with another bulb in an overhead light.
