reading (Oneida Community)

I finished Oneida Community: An Autobiography a week or two ago. This book had a short author written introduction at the beginning of each chapter which was followed by quotes from the published work of the community. The choice of topics and quotes mirrored other books I've read, which surprised me because I expected the "autobiography" to be more intimate and less formal.

I believe this book was the most slanted of the Oneida histories I've read. It carefully sidestepped much of the controversy in the history of Oneida.

Overall, I don't think this is a book on Oneida worth picking up.
