I always have more wishes when it comes to vacation planning than I have days or money.


Monehegan Island: It's still possible we might be able to pull this one off this year, for a day trip anyway. Anyone? Anyone?

Lowell Mills: Also still doable this year.

NH Highland Games: Well, it's possible we could get out there this year.


Some of the more likely items for next year:

Summer solstice hike of Katahdin: Didn't make it to the top this year, but I'd like to try again.

A week at the beach: Didn't make it to Salisbury this year, but it's very relaxing to take a million books and just stay there.

Any number of weeks in England, Ireland, and Scotland. I'd really like to pull a sword out of the stone.

Two week roadtrip to Florida: Hit my old haunts on the west coast and visit the family.

One week to Florida: Visit family.

Via Rail across the continent: I did this once. I want to do it again.

Woofstock: I keep saying I'm going to make it next year.

There is that island vacation I've always wanted.

Some of the less likely items for next year:

Newport Folk Festival and Newport Jazz Festival
I'd like to visit Oz and New Zealand.
I'd like to eat my way across India.
Return to parts of the west like White Sands, Carlsbad, Yosemite, and more.
