There is a lot of stuff that I haven't gotten around to writing about yet. There are a lot of things I want to write about England and our vacation in
general. There are also things going on with work, weather, and of course the attempted purchase of a new abode. I really don't have much time, but I'll attempt in bits and pieces. It may be June before I get around to posting pictures.

Work: 10 hours a day and I'm not even holding my own at the moment. I'm trying to not stress too much, but it's making me very tired.

England:

Strange trivia: Coke in England is made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. It tastes much sweeter and doesn't leave that film on your teeth.
This is the old formula that was coke before the marketing slight of hand that changed Coke to Coke Classic and left the majority of Americans believing they were the same. They aren't, but the patent was expiring so they had to do something. New Coke was thrown out as a temporary distraction to allow people to forget what the real Coke tasted like so they'd think Classic was good.

Many parts of England are good contrasts to what the US has done wrong. The list is long, but a good starter is public transit versus paving. Reusing
buildings versus building new at every opportunity. Moderation in weight versus polarization in weight.

All the Internet people we met in London were very nice and fun. The only disappointment is that they don't live closer, so we could visit them more
easily.

Weather: We've had a very pleasant run of pretty blue skies and relatively warm weather since getting back. This is one category in which New England has it over England. The days have been just kickass and it makes me happy despite all the hassles dealing with real life.

Housing: I made progress getting in touch with the guy doing the fixing on the new place. Still more needs to be taken care of in that department, but making progress. Managed to get ahold of the seller's broker and find out that one piece of paperwork has already been provided to the bank, so we shouldn't have to get that filled out again. Utterly failed to get ahold of a human being at the loan department at the bank despite repeated attempts.

Music: Today I hooked the CD player up to the amp that feeds the big speakers and put on the English Beat's "Special Beat Service". That's one of the first CD's I bought, back in the day. It's such a good album and makes me want to dance my feet off. So pretty.

looks like smile has come back into season."
