obligatory year in review post
Jan. 1st, 2004 07:41 pmWhat's that line from high school required reading? "They were the best of times. They were the worst of times."
The Cons:
My dad died in August.
A business I had started fizzled in the first half of the year.
Consulting work that had provided some modicum of income dried up.
I discovered I'm gluten intolerant and had to give up wheat.
Didn't really to travel anywhere on vacation due to money.
Didn't develop any new and exciting relationships.
Didn't go dancing nearly enough.
Didn't become enlightened.
The Pros:
My health improved incredibly under a Gluten-Free diet
I had a very good visit with my parents in July.
Got to see Butonquail in April.
I'm happier now than I was a year ago.
I'm poorer, but not as poor as I was at midyear.
Didn't lose any old and exciting relationships.
Ate lots of yummy curries.
Didn't grow up.
