reading (Spook Country)

eorI finished William Gibson's "Spook Country" last night. The other William Gibson books I've read have all been set in a fictional near future dystopia. This one was set in our current real world dystopia. I do feel that Gibson's range was constrained by the reality. That said, it was interesting to follow the spooks about and try to guess motivations.
Maybe I'm just a natural paranoid, but I thought that there was one more layer of manipulation that was going on. Could it be, Gibson have intended the readers to find another layer of intrique that the main character still isn't aware of at the end of the book. I like to think so, otherwise the book just doesn't make as much sense.
