Why do they do this to me?
Jan. 22nd, 2002 09:12 pmThe word for the day is paronomasia, one of my favorite types of humor.
I was looking for something fun and spritely in the news today. But instead I came upon this. I know, proving humankind is dumb as a stump is not fun or spritely. But doesn't this sound like the beginning of one of the first season x-files?
A 20 year old woman wanting to win her ex-boyfriend back went to a "folk healer". He truly made her a lot hotter. (http://boston.com/dailynews/022/nation/Woman_hospitalized_with_second:.shtml) She's now in intensive care with second and third degree burns over the top half of her body. I'm sure the scar tissue will do wonders in winning her ex back.
As for the "healer", perhaps he should be allowed to stay out of prison so that every penny he makes can go to the real healing of this young woman. Afterall, "Restitution is mine sayeth the Lord."
