Remember the howlers in Harry Potter?  I just wrote one of those to one of my Senators.  You can guess which one if you'd like.  I'm not pleased with the fact that in the last week our imperious leader nixed pay raises for non-defense government workers, given $10k raises to the VP and senior appointed executive staff, not done anything on resolving the shutdown, then came out with a statement that the shutdown could last a YEAR!  Congress can override vetoes, they just need enough incentive to do it.

My other Senator doesn't need a howler.  My other Senator needs an exploratory committee and would make a better president than any of the democrats or republicans currently available.
