Heard a show on Maine calling yesterday featuring immigrants to Maine who are active in local politics. One of the people in the panel was the founder of Prosperity Maine. I had heard of the organization before, but never really knew what it did. It's actually pretty cool, focused on providing immigrants with financial education, help setting up businesses, and educational assistance. Good local stuff.
