eorThe world in now available in a lovely novel new format call stereo.
Today, after a very long wait, the doctor pulled an incredible amount of plastic and cotton out of my ear. I really felt like he was doing one of those routines like the magicians do with the hankies coming out of their sleeves. When he was done I suddenly had sound coming from both the left and the right. At first it was quite disconcerting, then I felt like cowering from all those loud noises. Now it's settled into hearing.
It's still healing so I still have to do antibiotics and protect it from water in the shower. Also, I guess my hearing should continue to improve for another couple weeks. I have another appointment for a final inspection in six weeks when supposedly it will be all healed.
Maybe in a few days I'll get brave and try to listen to music with the headphones or something.

We talked about so many things I can't really remember them all, but we did cover The-Ongoing-American-Patriotism-and-Ethnicity-Thread, the fate of economic consumerism, how well our current car handles in snow, dreams, finances, interpersonal relationships, and well all kinds of other stuff.
I think it's time to go curl up with a book.
