projects, progress, and daily life
Sep. 15th, 2005 05:51 pmThe chainmaille coif is done. I finished it up last night. I'll put some pictures up in a bit perhaps.
I have finished scanning the last of my old letters. I'll probably take a break from the scanning for a while because it's best in small doses. Anyway the recycling bin is full to overflowing. Now that the coif is done I don't have any more major chainmaille projects planned to alleviate the boredom of scanning.
I finished Vol. 4 of Anais Nin's early diaries. With each volume I get drawn more into the characters that persist through Anais' life. At the end of this volume once again Hugh shows his strength, intelligence, and devotion.
Today I'm suffering from either allergies or a cold. I'm going to take allergy meds and go to sleep early hoping it's the former. If it's the later, the sleep won't do any harm. I haven't gotten very much sleep the last few nights. I've just been staying up too late and getting up for work as usual.
Work has been rough this week. The other person's job I've been taking over during the mornings isn't going badly. But the things I was doing in the morning just aren't getting done completely or correctly. I end up scrambling around all afternoon trying to figure out what has been done, what hasn't, and fix what's gone wrong. My patience is wearing quite thin.
