After being stranded in the rain twice within a week, I left the van sitting in its parking space for the last two days. Today I went out and cleaned up the plugs, replace a couple, and fired it back up. For the first time in a week I could leave a stop without rev'ing the engine up really high to keep it running. It's still a tired, inefficient engine, but it's a tired, inefficient engine firing on all four cylinders. We'll see how long this lasts. Note: must buy more spark plugs.

The need for a new engine has moved up the foodchain like a great white shark.
