This weekend
derien made a lovely lamb curry using the recipe we used to use all the time. There weren't many leftovers. :) If you're interested it's available here.
Yesterday I marinated a steak (cumin seeds, garlic, chilli powder, and black pepper) which we had that with spuds, peapods, and a new blackbean soup that we were trying. The blackbean soup was a premix available at the local whole foods store. It actually turned out as a thick paste with a very rich taste. I couldn't live on it alone, but it makes a good side dish and would probably make a good dip for parties.
We also went to a good concert yesterday, but I'll put that in its own post.
Today is dishes and mixing up another batch of basic curry sauce. Last week I was lazy and just used stuff from a jar. I just thought of mustard chicken. Haven't had that in a while. That might be on the menu for tonight.
