More books, some cheap cloths, and a hat.
Mar. 25th, 2006 08:08 pmYippee! We set out today ostensibly in search of a Tilley. Failing to find said hat at three different local dealers we settled for other booty: books and clothing. The clothing consisted of some jeans suitable for my work, a shirt for
derien, and a couple of shirts I can wear at work (my current work cloths have worn sufficiently to give me the modern American homeless look). Oh, we also got a flashlight which you wind up and looks totally like a Star Trek phaser.
Books:
The Snows of Kilimanjaro and Other Stories, Hemingway
The Green Hills of Africa, Hemingway
Practical Demonkeeping, Christopher Moore
Triton, Samuel R. Delany
It has been a lazy and entirely pleasant day. The weather continues to hint at spring. We even saw a girl in a skirt today.
Not to be discouraged in the hat department. I ordered one online.
My favorite pirate shirt slogan of the day: "Work is for those who don't know how to plunder."
