Rainfall record in Portland today: 2.29 inches. I think that probably fell in about half an hour right while I was driving home. I almost didn't make it home. If I hadn't had a good strong engine I wouldn't have made it through the lakes that were pretending to be streets. I passed by several people who weren't so lucky.

At least the bottom of the van should be clean now.
