I've never been big on structured exercise. I might work for 8 hours on a Saturday doing hour long intervals of aerobic work, but I'm really bad at going out every day and doing something that can be recorded. How do you count 3 hours of chipping ice in intervals to keep my heart rate within a reasonable range? Anyway, now that I'm the proud owner of a coronary event, I'm going to cardiac rehab three times a week. They like to see me doing some form of exercise that can be "inspected, detected, neglected, and selected" on my "off" days. And knowing that if I don't start doing some recordable fitness 6 days per week, once my rehab sessions end in Feb I'll have a really hard time forming a habit.
So in that theme, I'm restarting the Eowyn Challenge. It's a way to record my sessions at rehab as well as my sessions outside of rehab. I'm hoping it will give me a tiny bit more motivation and serve as a log for me. So feel free to ignore all the posts that are so titled. Aside from this one they will probably be short and boring.
Treadmill: 30 min, 2.9mph, 5 degree incline, 1.56 mi
Today, eor travelled 1.56 miles on the journey from Bag End to Rivendell.
Left Bag End. Went around West end, jumped the hedge.
Went through gate into a lane. Headed west.
A total of 1.56 miles along the way.
