The webster's word of the day is "tenacious". It's stuck around for 400 years with very little change to the original meaning.

Isaac Asimov loved English because of it's hodgepodge of roots. There are at least two words for everything, each with different connotations. Like the anonymous person who wrote the "tenacious" entry, he loved to play with words for the sake of entertainment and wit. I miss Isaac.
