I really liked how the flavor and texture turned out. The review board seemed to approve as well because there were no leftovers.

Today was a housecleaning day. Ah, the excitement of sweeping, mopping, dusting, and picking up.

Last night we went to a local high octane spirits store and investigated the various gluten-free possibilities. I found they stock Luksusowa vodka, which was on my to try list. They also stock a vodka made from cow's milk made by Vermont Spirits which we picked up for a try. The cow is currently chillin'. I'll report on each as they get tried. Of note, Vermont Spirits also does cane and maple syrup based vodkas. Based on the results of the first we may try all four flavors they offer.

From Consumer Relations at Bacardi: "Please note that BACARDI Superior, Gold,
Select, 151, and all of our flavored rums do not contain gluten." I'm waiting for a reply from Mount Gay.

I started Terry Pratchett's "Night Watch" yesterday and finished it this morning. I needed a little all-consuming reading. I did stop to eat and even went to sleep. I thought that showed great self control.

Very wrong

I clicked on to CNN.COM tonight and there was a headline "NYC councilman killed by political rival" and next to it was a link that said "Gallery". There is something wrong with this concept.

I'm going to go off into a fantasy world now. Join me if you'd like. It's better than this one.
