Yesterday's dentist appointment was productive but long. I ended up in the chair for four hours. When I woke up tonight I could barely open my mouth. I opted to call in to work tonight, take some super strength Advil, and a nap.

The nap ended in a pair of dreams. The first was a pleasant short film involving [livejournal.com profile] matushan and [livejournal.com profile] derien, which is a good thing in any circumstance. The second was a dream about the need to clean the house which strangely enough ended with me looking for a pair of work gloves so I could take off the squid/octopus like thing stuck on top of my head. After the whole squid thing I decided not to go back to sleep.

I got a chuckle out of this bit. This study should be in the textbook "Examples of Bad Science". Concurrence is not the same as causality.

Once again I've restarted working on the "purse of many versions". The challenge is to make it entirely out of chainmail. All my other incarnations have been unable to support themselves.

This attempt consists of 3/16in 18gauge bright aluminum rings which will be contrasted by copper rings. What makes this iteration different is that I'm using the European 6 in 1 weave. With the ring size I'm using that is a very dense weave. If the piece I'm currently working on is any indication closing the ends will be nearly impossible. But so far it appears that a sheet will stand straight up.
