Feb. 6th, 2005 09:19 pmMade up a new spice combination for baked chicken tonight. It turned out pretty well, an interesting taste that has some depth without being really spicy. We had that with nice cheesy potatoes for supper. I didn't want to stop eating. After I got about halfway through the leaf of the table I decided it was time for dessert.
Last night we went out with Teena to play... musical... cabaret show. It was campy to the n'th degree. I'm not sure whether the bad timing, stilted script, and such was clever poking fun at the whole audience/troupe paradigm and the ridiculousness of high school angst or if it was simply bad. Either way it was kind of funny and twisted. They simultaneously made fun of American's fetishization of sex and exploited it.

derien and I went originally intending to get food (because we were starving) and ended up having drinks and no food. Picture the two of us sitting talking our way through a database schema and two very strong rum and cokes each. Yes, database schema. I'll see your pocket protector and raise you a slide rule.
