reading (The Penultimate Peril)

I finished "The Penultimate Peril", book 12 in A Series of Unfortunate Events, on Friday evening. Wow, these books have grown up fast! Laced amongst the word play, the expository asides (a word here which means a separate thought inserted into a sentence), and very funny descriptions is darkness more cynical than a curmudgeon's most dystopian daydreams. It's like real life!

I am almost frightened to read the final installment. Every one of these books says to put it down and go read something more pleasant, perhaps for once I should take the advice.

I'm a bit late on this meme, but worse late than never. Pick up the nearest book to you. Turn to page 45. The first sentence describes your sex life in 2012.

"But if someone is trying to hide their tears, it may also be noble to pretend you do not notice them, so they will not be embarrassed."

Alrighty then, lets just move on to something else.
